Kent sees biggest house price growth in a decade...

Kent dominates the list of the highest 10-year asking price growth areas.

Margate in Kent has been named the house price hotspot of the decade. Margate is home to an iconic vintage fun park, long sandy beaches and a Turner gallery perched on the edge of the sea.

Homeowners in this seaside resort town have seen the value of their properties skyrocket more than anywhere else in Britain over the past ten years.

Margate's average asking prices have more than doubled (+102%) since 2012, reaching £294,209.

Dover, Sheerness, Dartford, Broadstairs, and Walderslade are also on the list. Average prices in Dartford jumped by 91,2% in a decade.
